More paper flower attempts

Well I have learned that crafting is just a serious of repeating something until it becomes easy.  Over time it will turn out like you wanted it to be originally.  In the case of the paper flowers however they are truly giving me a run for my money.  I went to Joann's on Saturday and got coordination paper for .16 a sheet, go me.  I decided to try again at these flowers.  My attempts were better this time but still need a lot of improvement.  I will keep trying.
These three are the same color originally.  I had some homemade glimmer spray in red and sprayed it on the lighter ones.  They are more of a burgundy color now.

I really like the last two and not the first two.    There is one more just like the last one, it's just not in this photo.

Grunge like flowers

So my friend Esther taught me and my friend Kerry to make flowers through facebook chat.  She gave excellent instructions.  So good that Kerry's 11 year old daughter made one perfect.  I somehow when astray and did not follow the directions completely.  The flowers were stunning, except mine.  LOL
This is what they look like before you fold them down.

A 35 year old made one and an 11 year old made the other.  I hate to say it but the pink one was made by the 35 year old.

You can't really tell but there is a shimmer to this.

This is what happens when you don't follow the directions.  LOL
I think that you can tell that I did the pink one's.  LOL .   If you would like directions on how to make these correctly let me know.

This is a name sign that I made for Emily's kindergarten teacher.  She is giving it to her today and I really hope that she loves it.  I made it with Storybook.  I embossed the pink parts.  I then added stickles and Iroc'd it.
