BOO

I got an email today showing the projects of a cricut message board member Mandy.  Her blog polka dot spot showed her rendition of the Boo.  I loved it so that I had to make it myself.  I bought the letters at Joann's and used Halloween papers from DCWV and crystal stickers, Jolie's stickers, some big furry spiders, and ribbon.  I think that I like Mandy's more but mine will do.

Crafty couple of days

It had been a while since I have posted anything.  It haven't been crafting too much.  I got crafty last night and mad two cards.  They both contain images from last image swap I hosted on the cricut message board.  I used embossed coordination paper on the first card.  I lightly sanded it to bring out the wood grain.  I think i.rocked the spellbinders shape to emphasize a thought.
 the inside of the card.
The second card I used the cropodile and put eyelets in the four corners of the image.  I put a row of felt daisies on the bottom.  I i.rocked the centers of the flowers and put the saying on the end.  I used my friskar border punch on the edge of the card.

Halloween card.

Last night Kerry and I got our stamped images together for the Cricut message board swap that I am hosting.  Here is a card that I made from one of the images from my part of the swap.
I matted  the image on black textured paper from the Halloween mat stack from last year.  I then stamped the trick or treat on the card.  I took sheer orange ribbon and lightly layered it on the card.  It is hard to tell but I highlighted the shoes and socks with a glitter pen.

Kristina's fettucine. So good.

So this is something my friend made us at her first crop at her house and it was amazing.

Melt 2 sticks of butter with 1 tblspn minced garlic( not powder).
Add 1 qt heavy cream
Stir 1/2 cup milk and 2 tblsn flour together and pour into pot.
1/2 lb shredded parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper
Turn heat low and stir constantly
Add cooked chicken.
If you want lemon garlic, just add lemon zest.  Some lemon juice. and shrimp.   Yumm!
Enjoy!

Caramel Apple Salad(it's oh so good)

8 oz cream cheese
1/2 c brown sugar
4-6 granny smith apples (peeled and chopped)
2 king size or 4 regular payday candy bars.  I am sure you can substitute snickers bars.
8 oz thawed cool whip

Beat cream cheese and brown sugar together until smooth.  Fold in cool whip, apples, and chopped candy bar.Chill and serve.
Enjoy!

A card I did today

I am trying make cards with all the images from the swap that I hosted on the Cricut Message board.  This is one of those images.  I glazed the raindrops to make them look like water and the yellow dots on the umbrella.  I used a metallic pen for the umbrella handle.   The inside says that into every life a little rain must fall that's what makes the flowers.

A card I did today

This month I hosted an image swap with some wonderful women from the Cricut message board.  This is one of the images done by a very talented lady for the swap.  I bought some new colored pencils today. Koh-I-noor woodless pencils.   I love them.  They color so smoothly.   I embossed a 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 piece of coordinations paper.  It was the whitewash.  I sanded the paper to accent the embossing.  I made the gate fold by scoring the paper at 2 1/8 inches from the beginning and end.  I put some skittles on it.   Added some faux stitching inside.   I hope you like it.
